Fresh off the AP Wire:
The Houston Astros have reached an agreement sell the team to a group led by Houston businessman Jim Crane.
The team announced the deal Monday and planned an afternoon news conference to discuss details. The sale is subject to approval by Major League Baseball.
Owner Drayton McLane had said last week that a deal was imminent with Crane, who tried unsuccessfully to buy the team in 2008. McLane bought the team in November 1992 for about $117 million. He put the franchise up for sale in November.
The MLB should okay the deal meaning that Crane will finally have his team.
