Soon enough Derrick Rose will have at least one thing in common with Michael Jordan – an MVP award in a Bulls uniform.
Word on the street is Derrick Rose has become the NBA’s youngest MVP. That word was corroborated by a person close to the decision speaking on the condition of anonymity as the decision hasn’t been announced yet.
Rose trumped LeBron James try for a three-peat. The 22-year-old also knocked Wes Unseld (who at 23 when he won) as the youngest Rookie of the Year and youngest MVP with Baltimore Bullets for the 1968-69 season.
Rose averaged 25 points and 7.7 assists in the regular season.
