Less than a week after George wAshington found it’s new Athletic Director, it’s getting ready to lise men’s basketball coach, Karl Hobbs.
Hobbs has coached at George Washington for 10 seasons.
The news leaked when a person familiar with the situation hinted to multiple sources, on being The Associated Press, that Hobbs was leaving. Hobbs’ resignation comes on the heels of GWU inking Patrick Nero as the new athletic director.
No word if the two moves are related.
Hobbs was the Atlantic-10 Coach of the Year in 2006-06. He led George Washington to a 27-3 record, including 16-0 in the conference. In his 10 seasons, Hobbs posted a 166-129 record.
