S.D. State’s Leonard looking toward NBA

San Diego State Aztec sophomore Kawhi Leonard told reporters he plans to enter the NBA draft.

He is also planning to hire and agent, according to The Associated Press, which would finish his NCAA eligibility.

Aztecs had their best season ever and finished 34-3. Leonard was a big reason. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged better than 15 points and 10 rebouns per game. He helped his team reach the Sweet Sixteen for the first time. The Aztecs lost to eventual national champion Connecticut.

Coach Steve Fisher told the AP Leonard “is going to be an exceptional NBA player.”
