On the heels of one announcement comes another.
Connecticut will hold a news conference Tuesday featuring guard Kemba Walker’s decision – will he enter the NBA Draft?
Walker led UConn to its third national championship and is projected as a first-round pick. He averaged nearly 24 points per game and helped UConn to a 32-9 record.
Some critics say he would be foolish to return, others say he would be foolish – given the NBA soon-to-be labor dispute – not to stay.
Jim Calhoun told The Associated Press he advised Walker to enter the draft but with a lockout on the horizon, Walker is so far undecided.
“It would be a lot of fun if I came back,” he told reporters last week. “These guys are my brothers and I love them. So, if I have an opportunity to come back, it would be special.”
