According to Anthony J. SanFilippo of the Delaware County Daily Times, Pittsburgh Penguins star center Sidney Crosby is set to return to the team.
Crosby has been cleared by doctors to practice with the team and will make the trip to Tampa Bay for Thursday’s game against the Lightning.
He has missed nearly three months due to post concussion syndrome.
Crosby sustained a concussion on January 5th after being driven into the boards by Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Victor Hedman.
His return would be a major boost to the Penguins lineup as they head into the postseason. Pittsburgh currently sits in 4th place in the Eastern Conference with 98 points and look poised for a first round matchup against Stephen Stamkos and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
