The New Orleans Hornets have signed forward Patrick Ewing Jr. to a 10-day contract.
The Georgetown product had been playing in the National Basketball Developmental League with the Siox Fallas Skyforce where he averaged 19.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game this season.
Ewing Jr, the son of former NBA star Patrick Ewing, will get a shot with the Hornets after David West was lost for the season with a torn ACL. The recently acquired Carl Landry will receive the bulk of the playing time in West’s absence.
