Florida coach Billy Donovan is relatively confident that guard Kenny Boynton will be able to play against BYU.
Florida’s second-leading scorer is expected to practice Tuesday and Donovan told the Associated Press: “we fully expect him to play.”
That doesn’t mean he is practicing though, according to beat reporters, Boynton is sitting out practice because of a sprained left ankle. Boynton injured his ankle Saturday after he landed on UCLA center Josh Smith’s foot late.
Donovan told the Associated Press that Boynton is dealing with some discomfort, but specifically noted, he isn’t on crutches or even wearing a protective boot.
