It’s the story that no one cares about. After being ruled OUT over the weekend, Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre will start what will likely be his final home game as a member of the Minnesota Vikings Monday night against the Chicago Bears.
Favre was upgraded to questionable early Monday afternoon. He warmed up on the field at the University of Minnesota two hours before game time and was deemed ready to go.
Farve’s record 297 consecutive starts streak was snapped last week when he missed the Vikings Monday night loss to the New York Giants. Backup QB Tavaris Jackson was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week with a turf toe injury. 3rd string QB and converted WR Joe Webb took all of the reps with the first team throughout the week and was set to start for Minnesota.
Vikings star RB Adrian Peterson is inactive for Minnesota with knee and ankle injuries. Fantasy football owners around the country are cursing their playoff hopes away. Rush to the waiver wire immediately to see if Toby Gerhart is still available.
