NFL files suit with Players Union

The NFL has filed an “unfair labor practice” charge against the NFL Players Union, according to the Associated Press.

The league filed the complaint with the National Labor Relations Board. They requested the NFLPA to be ordered to “bargain in good faith.” The NFL claims the NFLPA wants to avoid a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

A statement e-mailed to the AP by union spokesman George Atallah stated the NFL’s claim “has absolutely no merit.”

The NFL, though, is going to attempt to pursue an antitrust lawsuit.
