The Steelers are playing in the Super Bowl. That’s undeniable.
But there is some question as to what they look like. A lot of people say the Steelers are about six-foot-five. Hovering around 240 pounds. They say the Steelers have a scruffy beard.
The Steelers were drafted in the 1st round of the 2004 NFL Draft. They have been to three Super Bowls since then.
The Steelers have bounced back from personal adversity to get to this point. Forget for a moment that the personal adversity was brought upon the team by itself – that would ruin the story.
Most teams show up at the Super Bowl with 53 men. But if you asked the media, they wouldn’t know the difference. All the talk is about No. 7.

Rules allow teams to take 11 guys onto the field. But they could play with 10. Or one. And according to the media, that seems to be the Steelers M.O.
If you asked the Packers who they’re playing in Super Bowl XLV you’re likely to get a full answer about the team, the players, the coaches. By the time the tape hits the airwaves it’s down to two words and one response, “Ben Roethlisberger.”
It’s a wonder what would happen if the Steelers showed up with a full roster.
That’s not to discredit Troy Polamalu or LaMarr Woodley. Or even Hines Ward. But, it’s not like anyone is giving them any credit to begin with.
To the media, they are as much an after thought as hindsight.
