New England Patriots QB Tom Brady has won the 2010 NFL MVP award.
Brady became the first player ever to win the MVP award by a unanimous vote garnering all 5o first place votes. It is the second time Brady has been honored as the league’s Most Valuable Player in his career. He also won the award back in 2007.
“It is always flattering to be chosen for such a prestigious award,” Brady said. “But I also look at it as a team award, as nothing in football gets accomplished without the mental toughness and determination of every player and coach associated with that team.
Brady led the Patriots to a 14-2 regular season record before falling to the New York Jets in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs. He completed 66 percent of his passes for 3,900 yards and a league-best 36 touchdowns. He had an NFL-low four interceptions and broke a 19-year-old record for consecutive attempts without an interception with 340 straight attempts ranging over 91 days. Brady’s season passer rating of 111.0 ranks fifth all-time.
