Kevin Love replaces Yao Ming on Western Conference All Star Team

Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love will replace injured Houston Rockets center Yao Ming on the Western Conference All Star team.

Love, the NBA leader in rebounding by nearly two full rebounds per game, will be making his first All Star appearance. The third year pro out of UCLA is averaging 21.4 points and 15.5 rebounds per game this season.

Yao was voted as the starting center for the Western Conference even though he hasn’t played in a single game during the 2010-2011 season. He is currently sidelined with a career threatening foot injury.
