Blue Jays ink Villannueva

The Toronto Blue Jays have eight players who have filed for salary arbitration but the Blue Jays avoided arbitration with 28-year old Reliever Carlos Villanueva. They agreed to terms on a $1.4 million, one-year contract.

Villanueva was acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers on Dec. 3. He finished the year 2-0 with a 4.16 ERA.
