A quick shout out to my Fantasy Football League. Not for the reasons you might be thinking. It’s not like I won and I’m here to gloat.
If that were the case I would have been here last season. And back in 2006.
No, this season didn’t end well for my team. I lost this season. Badly. After a 8-2 start I fizzled faster than Pop-Rocks in a can of Diet Coke. I finished our season 9-4 and lost in the opening round of the playoffs.
It was ugly. I finished 6th. At 9-4.
But the shout out to my league members is because they got their own shout out on Tuesday on the show. After discussing the “light-hearted” story that was JonBenet Ramsey, I mentioned that my team name this season was the JonBenet Rams.
Hilarity didn’t ensue as quickly as I hoped. Dismay and disapproval swept in before hilarity even had a chance to get on it’s feet.
The good news is both Maino and Nick Vitrano had no problem with the other names of teams in my league. Only mine.
So, Scottie Halgren, Eric Doll, Adam Piepgrass, Ben Baker and Ira Lucia. You are famous. In Green Bay, Wisconsin.
