Maryland dismantles East Carolina

The Terrapins’ beat the Pirates 51-20 Wednesday in the Military Bowl. It was the third time this season Maryland scored more than 50 points. It was a fitting end to the 10-year run for Head Coach Ralph Friedgen.

Maryland forced four turnovers to make up for Terrapin quarterback’s Danny O’Brein’s two interceptions. Terrapin running back Da’Rel Scott finished with 200 yards.

The biggest surprise of the day: Maryland receiver Torrey Smith announced he will enter the NFL Draft. He finished his career with 152 career catches for 2,215 yards and 19 touchdowns – the last, ranked second in school history.
