I think I finally understand why women hate men. We make the worst decisions.
The U.S. Open is a prime example.
Perhaps I missed the memo, but when did women’s tennis turn into a fashion show?
Actually, I have a better question: When did men decide that the women’s tennis turned into a fashion show? My guess is the women involved still think it’s about winning a tennis match. It was evidenced multiple times tonight. Every match was played. Every match had a winner.
Now, Venus Williams eliminated 185th-ranked Mandy Minella 6-2, 6-1 tonight to reach the U.S. Open’s fourth round for the 12th time in 12 trips to the tournament. She enjoys winning. And she enjoys winning one-sided matches. Minella didn’t hold serve until the fifth game of the second set.
The only problem is if you check your latest RSS feed you would have thought she just stepped off a runway in Paris – not the court in New York City.
A stylish show? Really? I think holding serve through the fifth game of the second set is more “dominating” then anything.
