New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has won the 2011 Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year. Again.
He won the award in 2008, as well.
He’s the fourth quarterback to win the award in the past five years.
Brees’ record-setting season helped earn him award. He obliterated Dan Marino’s single season passing record. He passed for 5,476 yards. Brees broke Peyton Manning’s 2010 record for passing completions (450) with 468 completions. He also tallied more than 300 yards passing in seven-consecutive games during 2011.
He received 43 of the 50 votes.
