The Minnesota Timberwolves announced the team is hiring Rick Adelman as their next coach on Tuesday morning.
The terms of the deal were not announced, as Adelman has yet to sign the deal.
Rumors of the hiring surfaced over the weekend, reports started coming out Monday morning and the Timberwolves an official announcement Tuesday morning.
Adelman is 945-616 in 20 seasons as coach. He spent time with the Trail Blazers, Kings, Warriors and Rockets. He is eighth on the NBA’s career wins list.
His most recent job with the Houston Rockets ended in April.
The 65-year-old Adelman replaces Kurt Rambis. He becomes the 10th head coach in franchise history.
