San Antonio Spurs forward Danny Green is the latest NBA player to make the jump overseas.
He signed with Slovenian basketball league champion Union Olimpija.
Green, 24, has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Spurs during his two years in the league. In the 28 games he’s appeared, he averaged just under 3ppg. Green averaged 5.1 points in eight games last season for the Spurs.
He joins his college teammate Deon Thompson. The two helped North Carolina win the 2009 NCAA title.
Olimpija did not mention financial terms of the deal Monday or whether Green signed an out clause to return to the NBA after the lockout.
