It’s not a great sign for fans hoping an end to the NBA Lockout. The NBA Finals MVP, Dirk Nowitzki, has reportedly been approached by a Chinese basketball team.
The Zheling Lions are offering $1.5 million per month to the 7-foot forward according to Fox Sports.
Nowitzki is one of a handful of players being offered jobs playing overseas. The 10-time All-Star joins Derron Williams, Sonny Weems, Allen Iverson and Za Za Pachulia. With other offers been made to Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant.
Wade even went as far as to tell NBC Miami: “I’m going to play basketball this year,” Wade said from New York, where he’s taking some business meetings. “I don’t know where, but I love the game so much that I will play it. And we will figure that out.”
Nowitzki averaged 23 points, seven rebounds and 2.6 assists per game last year.
