Texas Longhorns safety Christian Scott arrested

Not the best way to start off the season for the Texas Longhorns. After a disappointing 2010, the 2011 season has already started sour. Monday, Texas senior safety Christian Scott was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault with bodily injury, according to The Associated Press.

The Austin police say Scott was arrested Monday morning near his apartment after officers responded to a call about an assault.

Scott played in 10 games in 2010 and tallied 53 tackles and one interception.

Scott was charged with a Class A misdemeanor, no further details were released. He could face one year in jail and a fine of up to $4,000.
