Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan spent Monday taking a step backward by apologizing to his coaches, teammates and fans. Apparently the often out-spoken cornerback said he didn’t leave camp to attend to a family issues – something he posted to Twitter.
He explained he was – as originally speculated – upset over talks for an extension. Coach Mike Munchak said Finnegan would be fined for leaving camp.
Finnegan told reporters after practice Monday that he was a distraction to his team and he let his emotions get the best of him. He also said he wants to retire as a Tennessee Titan.
