The Minnesota Timberwolves spent a part of Monday speaking with former Phoenix Suns coach, Terry Porter, according to sources.
The Star Tribune was the first to report the interview.
Porter, from Wisconsin, spent the 2007-2008 season coaching the Suns – but didn’t complete the season. He was fired after 51 games.
The team is not commenting publicly on the search process.
The move would seem an advantageous one. Porter spent his playing career as a point guard and the Timberwolves are expecting to start their draft project, Ricky Rubio, at point guard next season.
