With the 27th pick in the 2011 NBA draft the Boston Celtics selected forward JaJuan Johnson from Purdue University.
The 6’10” 220 pound Johnson was the Big 10 player of the year and Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year.
The senior forward averaged 20.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game this past season.
Boston acquired the 27th pick and a future 2nd rounder from the New Jersey Nets in exchange for the drafts rights to Marshon Brooks.
