Oregon Ducks football paid for “Booklet” on 2010 high school recruits

The University of Oregon released documents linking them to a possible scandal involving LaMichael James.

The documents relate to recruiting services provided by Will Lyles.

Lyles, who runs the Texas-based Complete Scouting Services, sold a 2010 National High School Evaluation Booklet to Oregon for a reported $25,000 in February 2010.

The booklet contained outdated material.

The NCAA is concerned with the payment. Oregon maintains it did nothing wrong by paying Lyles for the information. Many college programs pay for such services.

Although it is questionable why the university would pay $25,000 for outdated material without any kind of response.

Oregon’s payment to Lyles has been questioned because of his relationship with Ducks running backs Lache Seastrunk and LaMichael James.
