MLB, Yankees, Rodriguez don’t meet before Saturday’s game

It was all quiet on the eastern front Saturday as Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees and Alex Rodriguez did not meet with the union. The meeting will likely discuss A-Rod’s suspension through the rest of the season.

ESPN is currently reporting that A-Rod’s season is likely done. The Associated Press is reporting that a meeting is likely and the also likely to discuss some kind of suspension.

Saturday night, Rodriguez was in Trenton, N.J. playing in what could be his last game of the year.

According to the AP before Rodriguez took the field Saturday, his people attempted to contact the Yankees, the MLB union head, Michael Weiner, and MLB Executive Vice President Rob Manfred. Both the Yankees and MLB said they had no interest in talking.
