Since it is the begining of Spring Training and I can’t wait for baseball season to start, I wanted to remind Yankee fans that the Blue Jays aren’t just going to take it on the chin in 2012.
Well, at least not in March. Hey, one game at a time, right?
If you missed the game today – which I have no doubt you did – catcher J.P. Arencibia and southpaw left-fielder Travis Snider homered and Brett Cecil gave up one hit over two scoreless innings.
And the Yankees pinstripes looked more like jail bars because they were held captive in a losing effort, 6-1.
Adam Lind went 2-for-3 and scored on Colby Rasmus’ grounder to shortstop.
The Blue Jays offered the Yankees insult to injury. Earlier Thursday, the Yankees learned their All-Star pitcher David Robertson sprained his foot when he fell down the stairs at his house.
Great way to start the 2012 season.
