The New Jersey Nets have signed Gerald Green to a 10-day contract. Nets General Manager Billy King announced the signing Monday. The free-agent forward will join the team immediately.
Green had recently been playing in the D-League for the Los Angeles D-Fenders. In fact, Green was the MVP of the D-League All-STar game and in 22 games this season managed to score 19 points and snare just under 5 rebounds per game.
Green was originally a first-round pick back in 2005 and won the Slam Dunk Contest in 2007.
