Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs won the 2011 Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year award. The announcement came Saturday, just 24 hours before the Super Bowl.
The 29-year-old is the third Ravens player to win the award since 2003.
Suggs, a 2003 first round draft pick, tallied 70 tackles, 14 sacks, forced seven fumbles and two interceptions.
