The Washington Wizards have stumbled out of the gate. Then slipped again. The team has opened the season 2-15 and now there are reports that Flip Saunders is on his way out.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports was the first to report the story.
The two wins for Washington were against Toronto and Oklahoma City. And in those games, the team has looked like a legitimate NBA team. In both wins the Wizards scored more than 90 points and had multiple players in double figures.
In the losses, though, that’s another story.
The Wizards only managed 64 points against the Bulls on Jan. 11 and 72 points against Minnesota on Jan. 8.
If the report is true, Saunders would leave Washington with a 51-111 record with the team.
