The Portland Trail Blazers might be looking to waive Brandon Roy. According to multiple reports, the Blazers have been trying to exercise a new option in the new collective bargaining agreement that would allow the team to cut ties with the three-time All Star.
Meanwhile, Roy says he is ready for training camp.
The Blazers’ guard and town favorite has been battling knee injuries since he was drafted. Last season, Roy struggled to stay on the court again and the Blazers are looking for options as his contract keeps him with Blazers until at least the 2013-14 season.
Roy told the team he felt great, he was ready to play and wanted to help the team in any way he could. And that could include moving to a different team.
