Bad news comes in threes, right? On a day when Brandon Roy has been rumored to contemplating retirement and Greg Oden suffered another setback in his return to the court, it gets worse. The Portland Trail Blazers now say forward LaMarcus Aldridge has undergone a heart procedure.
Luckily for Blazers fans, Aldridge will only miss two weeks.
The procedure was part of a treatment for Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome that Aldridge was diagnosed with in 2007. It causes the ventricles of the heart to contract prematurely.
Aldridge averaged 21.8 points and 8.8 rebounds last season, the best of his five-year NBA career. He also tallied 36 double-doubles.
