President Obama to watch Oregon State game

The Oregon State Beavers have been on a bit of a tear to begin the 2011-2012 basketball season. The Beavers won their first four games, only losing to No. 18 Vanderbilt by two points.

It’s grabbed the attention of Beaver Nation, the Pac-12 and now, President Barack Obama.

The President, is bringing his family to Towson University, just north of Baltimore, to watch Towson play Oregon State on Saturday afternoon.

The first lady’s brother, Craig Robinson, is Oregon State’s head coach.

This isn’t the first time the President and his family have watched an Oregon State game. Last Thanksgiving, the Beavers came to Washington D.C. and beat Howard. The year before that, Oregon State traveled to and defeated George Washington. The Obamas were at both games.
