The North Carolina football program has issued a self-probation and forfeited all 16 football victories from the 2008 and 2009 seasons.The program also reduced the number of scholarships following an NCAA investigation into improper benefits and academic misconduc
The schools will still appear in front of the NCAA Infractions Committee on Oct. 28 as apart of the investigation.
The school officially cut three scholarships for the next three years and will pay a $50,000 fine.
Already, 14 players missed at least one game while seven were forced to sit the entire season. Four of those players were also dismissed from the team or ruled permanently ineligible by the NCAA.
