In the wake of the massive beatdown the Miami defensive backfield took at the hands of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, the Dolphins have made two quick moves.
First, they cut Benny Sapp on Tuesday. Wednesday the team inked veteran cornerback Will Allen.
Allen, who played for the team from 2006 to 2009, has re-signed with the Miami Dolphins after missing all of last season with a knee injury.
He was cut last week.
Allen, a nine-year veteran, started 53 games for Miami during his career. He tallied 152 tackles, seven interceptions and four tackles.
