It’s aint over till it’s over. And for Roger Clemens, it aint over. The former baseball star who played his last game Sept. 16, 2007, is due back in court. Facing another round of questions and accusations on charges that he lied about using performance-enhancing drugs.
A hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday in federal court.
Clemens’ and his lawyers are attempting to dismiss felony charges against him, claiming double jeopardy. His original trial ended as a mistrial seven weeks ago. A mistrial Clemens says prosecutors planned because their case was going badly.
Most legal experts think what Clemens is trying will be difficult to prove. The original trial was called off on the second day of testimony.
