San Francisco Giants manager, Bruce Bochy, has every right to be upset with one member of the media. He criticized nationally syndicated radio host, Tony Bruno, for what he says is a “racist” comment.
Bruno tweeted: “gutless #!@%*# Giants. Bochy is a coward for having having his illegal alien pitcher hit a guy…”
Bruno was referencing San Francisco reliever Ramon Ramirez tossing at the back of Shane Victorino in the sixth inning of the Phillies’ 9-2 victory.
The pluning led to a bench-clearing brawl.
It took a few days for the dust to settle, but Bochy isn’t letting it go just yet even though Bruno later deleted his tweet and apologized on his Facebook page.
Ramirez, from the Dominican Republic, declined to discuss the brawl and told The Associated Press Sunday he is in the U.S. legally and wouldn’t be able to work in the major leagues otherwise.
