More trouble for oft-injured San Diego Padres second baseman Orlando Hudson. He left Tuesday night’s game against the New York Mets with a strained right groin.
Hudson is now listed as day-to-day. He has been on the disabled list twice this season. His first trip was for a strained left groin, the second for strained right hamstring.
Hudson was replaced in the fifth inning after a fourth inning full of hustle. In the top if the inning, he his an RBI double and scored on a feet-first slide into home and then in the bottom of the inning snared a line drive.
According to reports, he appeared to be fine when he was replaced.
