Euroball Championships start, Gasol in championship form

I’m sure Nick Gibson at EuroLeague Adventures is about to wet himself in excitement.

I can’t blame him. The European 24-team championship started today.

Los Angeles Lakers center Pau Gasol scored 29 points and helped the defending champion Spain beat Poland 83-78.

In other games, Serbia beat Italy 80-68, Montenegro beat Macedonia 70-65 (in overtime) and Georgia routed Belgium 81-59.
