T’Wolves Beasley stopped by police, ticketed for marijuana possesion

It’s a bit greener in the Twin Cities, today. No, they aren’t selling Toyota Prius’ at a record pace – Michael Beasley is doing his best impersonation of Damon Stoudamire. Police say Minnesota Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley was ticketed for possessing marijuana and speeding in the Minneapolis suburb of Minnetonka last week.

Recall in 2009 Beasley checked into rehabilitation for a handful of issues – from depression to substance abuse.

Reports say that Beasley was stopped around 3 a.m. on June 26 on I-394 for doing 84 mph in a 65 mph zone. The officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. And later officers found 16.2 grams of marijuana under the passenger seat.

Beasley said the bag-o-blunt wasn’t his, but a friend’s he had just dropped off.

The Timberwolves told The Associated Press they can’t comment during the lockout.
