Just a few hours after the Indianapolis Colts resigned Peyton Manning, they have tendered an offer to running back Joseph Addai, according to team sources.
The Colts haven’t officially commented. But according to multiple reports the two sides are finalizing details of the agreement.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen was the first to report the deal. A deal that the team was able to complete because of the room made available by signing Manning.
Addai, the Colts first-round pick in 2006, has been a mainstay of the team’s offense since he was drafted. Despite missing half of the 2010 season the team was interested in bringing back the Pro Bowler
Addai has 4020 yards rushing during his five-year career and 38 touchdowns on the ground.
More to come…
