Police detain Besiktas official on match-fixing charges

The match-fixing probes continue in Europe. Now, Turkish police have detained more suspects, including two senior Besiktas officials.

Including the coach, Tayfur Havutcu.

Police also arrested two Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi players Tuesday. The Associated Press is reporting that Trabzonspor deputy president Nevzat Sakar also faces detention, but has been hospitalized after developing heart problems.

Meanwhile charges have been brought to over a dozen suspects ranging from irrelevant no-names to the president of the league champion, Fenerbahce, for cheating and bribery.
