NFL owners, NFLPA executive board meet

After two long days of working through paperwork, the lawyers for both sides of the NFL Lockout have taken a backseat. Thursday, members of the NFL Players’ Association executive board met with owners at a law firm in Manhattan, according to The Associated Press.

The usual names are already there. NFLPA President Kevin Mawae and NFL owners Robert Kraft, John Mara and Jerry Jones. Both NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFLPA chief DeMaurice Smith are expected to be in attendance as well.

An agreement is needed soon to soften the blow. July is when training camps begin and with the lockout in place, no teams are allowed to hold camps to prepare for the upcoming season. On top of that, the first pre-season game is only one month away.
