Mike Vick loses endorsement deal

It’s tough to be two places at once. Even if you’re Michael Vick.

Late Tuesday, it was reported by the Associated Press, that Vick lost his endorsement deal with a sports nutrition company less than one month after inking the deal.

Turns out Vick was under a similar contract with a competitor.

Per the AP:

Earlier this month, Vick signed a five-year agreement with Fuse Science, Inc., to promote its line of sports nutrition products. But Double Eagle Holdings Ltd., which owns Fuse Science, terminated the deal after MusclePharm Corp. wrote a news release stating Vick agreed to a three-year pact with that outfit, and in doing so, MusclePharm became the exclusive sports nutrition company of Vick.

Fuse Science disclosed in SEC filing on Tuesday that the company learned of Vick’s association with a competitive company on or about July 20.

Think of it as Vick trying to sell Nike shirts and Adidas shorts. And Reebok shoes.

He’s good – just not that good. Vick led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 10-6 record last season before the Eagles lost to the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs.

Vick, and the rest of the NFL players, are returning to work this week after a 100+ day lockout.
