It’s not usually a good day to be Chad Henne. And the first day of Dolphins training camp was no different.
Not only was the first day of camp a little rough for the quarterback and his receivers, but after practice he accidentally let the cat out of the bag that the Dolphins had agreed to terms with former Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Moore.
Oops!
Henne spoke to reporters after the first practice Friday saying he was ready for the competition – just one problem, the team hadn’t announced the deal yet.
Of course, the deal had already been leaked to The Oregonian, but one team executive was reported to have “winced as Henne spilled the beans about the addition of Moore” because Henne likely uined the talks the Dolphins were having with the Denver Broncos about the addition of quarterback Kyle Orton.
Which is too bad for Miami, because at least Orton has success int he league. Moore started 13 games for the Carolina Panthers from 2007 to 2010. Last year he threw five touchdown passes and had 10 interceptions.
