My favorite kind of press release was sent out by the NCAA today: The promotional, ticket-selling, make-more-money press release.
It get’s no better. Basically, the NCAA, in a partnership with Primesport , announced the details of The NCAA Experience, Friday. The NCAA Experience is a ticket and hospitality package for the 2011 NCAA College World Series.
“Every year our priority is to provide the best experience possible at the NCAA Men’s College World Series,” said Dennis Poppe, vice-president of baseball and football at NCAA. “And as demand for tickets increases year after year, the NCAA, with the help of PrimeSport, continues to deliver the best means of ensuring that our fans and membership have multiple ways to access high-quality tickets and hospitality offerings through the series.”
As it has been for over 60 years, Omaha, NE will be the backdrop for the 2011 Men’s College World June 18 – 29th, being played at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. The NCAA and PrimeSport will provide fans the opportunity to select which game they wish to attend, as well as VIP hospitality. Through The NCAA Experience program, the NCAA and PrimeSport can offer guaranteed seat locations, official hospitality and the assurance of buying directly from the only NCAA-approved ticket and hospitality package program.
The NCAA Experience can be accessed before every game, located just one block from TD Ameritrade Park Omaha at Film Streams’ Ruth Sokolof Theater and includes classic baseball movies showing each day, prize giveaways before every showtime, vouchers for food and drinks, a full cash bar and concessions, as well as an air-conditioned escape from the warm Nebraska summer.
“This year’s 2011 Men’s College World Series promises to be an exciting and entertaining experience for loyal fans,” said Sam Soni, President of PrimeSport. “Through our relationship with the NCAA, fans and companies can enjoy the games knowing they have secure tickets, and are buying directly from the only NCAA-sanctioned ticket and hospitality package provider.”
Oh, man! Sign me up. How much is it?
