The Philadelphia Flyers blowout has continued.
The team has traded captain Mike Richards to the L.A. Kings for forwards Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds, as well as a second-round draft pick.
The Richards trade coincides with the club’s decision to move center Jeff Carter to the Columbus Blue Jackets. With the moves the Flyers cleared approximately $110 million in salary commitments. Both had no trade clauses set to kick in in 2012, as well.
