With the 23rd pick in the 2011 NBA draft the Chicago Bulls selected forward Nikola Mirotic from Spain.
The 6’10” 225 pound Mirotic averaged 8.0 points and 3.7 rebounds at 20 years of age for Real Madrid last season.
Mirotic is a lottery talent but likely won’t come over to the NBA for another 3-4 years due to his $2.5 million buyout.
The Bulls acquired the #23 pick from Minnesota for picks #28, 43, and cash considerations.
