Blake Griffin staying in L.A.

The Los Angeles Clippers decided to exercis their fourth-year contract option on Rookie of the Year, Blake Griffin, Tuesday.

Griffin will remain with the Clippers through 2012-13.

Griffin, who averaged 22.5 points and 12.1 rebounds per game, was the first unanimous choice for Rookie of the Year in 21 years.

The Clippers were busy Tuesday. The team also exercised their third-year contract options on rookie point guard Eric Bledsoe and rookie forward Al-Farouq Aminu. The Clippers also extended a qualifying offer to DeAndre Jordan – making him a restricted free agent.
